This breathtaking medal was custom cast for our collection by the same Italian partners who produce the Deliverance Cross. Choose the color and size that best fits your Catholic lifestyle. (Hint: the .71” size fits perfectly in your scapular pocket!)
Originally approved in 1741 by Pope Benedict XIV, the St. Benedict Medal is one of the most popular holy medals revered by Catholics. When blessed, these sacramentals traditionally protect the wearer or carrier from demonic forces, as the prayers associated with the cross constitute a minor exorcism.
This stunning medal in your choice of Nickel or Bronze features an image of St. Benedict, carrying a cross and the Rule of Benedict, with a chalice and raven to his left and right. Flanking the saint is the phrase “Crux Patris Benedicti” or, “the cross of Father Benedict.” Surrounding the entire edge is the Latin phrase “eius in obitu nostro praesentia muniamur,” meaning, “at our death may we be fortified by his presence.”
On the other side, below the phrase “Pax,” meaning “peace,” various prayers—written as initials—appear on and around the image of a cross. These include
- CSSML (crux sacra sit mihi lux) - the holy cross be my light
- NDSMD (non draco sit mihi dux) - let not the dragon be my guide
- VRSNSMV - SMQLIVB (Vade retro satana! Numquam suede mihi vana! Sunt mala quae libas. Ipse venena bibas!) - Begone, Satan! Never tempt me with your vanities! What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself!

I was surprised to get the prayer cards that went along with the Miraculous Medal and the Saint Benedict Medal. I thought it was SO convenient to have the prayer of enrollment with the Sacuplar! You guys Rock!

I got the medal blessed and put in the pocket of my scapular
The medal was much nicer than i thought and the best part is it fits perfectly in the brown scapular I bought with it!! Fantastic quality on both!!
Perfect fit for my scapular.
Great size, Fits perfectly in scapula pocket. Very nice and well made.
You can never go wrong with a high quality St. Benedict medal!
Also fits in the scapular pockets!
These have to be the best scapulars on the catholic market! They are amazing. And are showing no signs of wear whatsoever. Theres nothing wrong with a traditional brown scapular, they are our lady's favorite. These have all the needed appointments and the pouch loaded with medals gives it more rigidity. The medals are just as excellent. I chose the St Benedict and one Miraculous Medal. Get them all blessed together and you're on your way to be blessed by our mother of grace.
Very pleased. Fits nicely in my scapular.
Very nice and sturdy medal. St. Benedict, pray for us.
Very happy with my purchase. Ty!

I love the St. Benedict media!
I ordered two .71” nickel St Benedict medals. They arrived on time. They are the perfect size. Once I received them, I had them blessed. I added one to a necklace chain after I had it blessed and I’m wearing it. The second is a gift for a friend. Thank you!
